Do you know if you're having a boy or a girl or will it be a surprise? Please answer my poll: www.surveymonkey.com/s/YZP5763
I will publish the result in this thread in a week's time...
Thanks!

I did with my first 3 and will with this one too :)

Meh... could you edit that survey since the questions aren't really good questions for a questionnaire.

Firstly it assumes you have had baby number one and since this is a pregnancy forum there are plenty of us who are on baby number one and haven't found out yet but may intend to. Also the baby shower question, I'm 16 weeks nearly, Even if anyone wanted to throw one I wouldn't know about it yet since they haven't known for long that I am pregnant.

Imarriedafrog, you have 5 children! How do you cope? I told my OH (a month after we became a couple) that I wanted 4 children and he looked at me with a horrified expression assuring me that 2 was enough for any family. Actually, I should be grateful that I didn't scare him off with that revaluation, that's true love! :)

My partner didn't want to know the sex so I found out I was having a boy and promised to keep it to myself!! Obviously I told EVERYone it was a boy and not him!
This time around he keeps changing his mind about knowing or not but I'm adamant I wanna know this time too! X

TooImmature2BMum · 03/10/2010 11:57

I so want to know! I'm 18+3 with first baby and have been determined to find out the sex ever since week 5. Scan on 19 Oct - can't wait! It will still be a surprise - it will just be an earlier surprise than otherwise. Plus this way I can decorate the nursery appropriately and buy clothes that aren't just white or yellow.

20andmum · 03/10/2010 12:41

This is my first baby and we found out what were having. I couldnt help myself i just had to know, its too exciting. We have chosen bubs name but have decided to keep that as a suprise til he is born so that we still have something to suprise ppl with. Wink

lilmamma · 03/10/2010 13:45

didnt know with 3 of them, lovely suprise to have a girl after two boys..knew that no4 was a boy..

neighbour down the road, was told it was a girl, decorated the nursery, had a cot with babys name engraved into it,and yes....it was a boy..

My daughters friends mum was happy though as she got all the clothes as she had just had a little girl.

Thanks for your responses everyone. 1Catherine1 thanks for pointing out the issues with the questions; you're quite right and I will look at revising them...

we found out both times, loved knowing and calling bump by appropriate name from 20 weeks. Helped me get my head round the fact that they weren't pink!

zahara1 · 05/10/2010 14:51

Expecting our first and we found out at second scan. There's no way I could have waited...I really admire people who can. :)

jcp123 · 06/10/2010 08:19

I think that finding out is like unwrapping your christmas presents before the big day. You can look but not touch. I think that not knowing adds to the excitement, and with a scan they can never be 100% accurate. It would be difficult if you'd expected a girl then a boy arrived, or vice versa.
