Reclusive when pregnant?!

Did anyone else find they didn't want to socialise or get out and about as much during the last trimester of pregnancy? I am pregnant with my third baby and as with my last two pregnancies really don't want to leave the house too often, not sure whether this is some latent instinct or tiredness?!

I was happy to leave the house, but I found I didn't like crowds. I went to an NCT sale but felt so protective of my bump, I ended up going to sit in the corner with tea, cake and book until my friend had finished!

I just felt so knackered all the time I was really antisocial!

I've felt quite anti social from about 16 weeks protective of bump, don't want to drive and don't want to make the effort- I do enjoy it when I do make the effort but sneak off early for a sleep.

Yup from about 20 weeks I have wanted to stay in and just be with family or hubby.

Yes, I feel conspicuous, I don't like people staring at my body not my face, I don't like being jostled, I don't like not being able to run away from trouble, so I don't like walking round Hackney much these days! (30 weeks).

With DD I socialised as much as possible because (a) there seemed to be dozens of hen do's and weddings and (b) I was so aware I wouldn't be able to as much once the baby arrived. But, even then, in the last trimester I couldn't be bothered. I had about 7 weeks off work before she arrived and just enjoyed being by myself, watching TV, and doing all the jobs that had been neglected for the previous 6 months. Also, being the sober one does get boring after a few months!

I'm now 16 weeks with DC2 and having to pace myself already as DD1 uses up so much available energy!

I am only 15 weeks and already feeling like I just want to hole up and go nowhere. DS wouldn't approve though so I will persevere!

Bizzarely, I'm alright if DH is with me, it's when I'm on my own with DS that I feel very vulnerable and exposed. We're off on holiday at the beginning of next month and I'm really looking forward to it, because we will be doing things all 3 of us together.

I am due next week and feeling very anti social. But then I was a bit like that before I got pg anyway . . . Wink.

I can't cope with crowds at all at the moment so have had to avoid central London entirely. I also feel quite self-conscious about my bump and am convinced people are staring at me. Silly, I know!
