This is my 3rd preganacy so I'm not under any illusions about it actually being easier when the baby comes Grin however I remember in my previous pregnancies you do reach a point where you are so tired and uncomfortable that you reacht a point where you just want the baby to come as you are so fed up with waking a million times in the night.
At what point do you reach this point as I can't remember?

I'm 35+3 and I say I reached that point this morning! I have SPD and I've just got up from another agonising nights sleep and finally feel at the end of my tether. I'm in so much pain. This is my first PG and call me naive but i swear child birth can't be much worse than this pain! I'm so done now and willing DC to put in an appearnce at 37 weeks..... Please!

I have to say I didn't with either pregnancy - Just as I was really enjoying those last few weeks they were born.

excitedmummy2be · 30/09/2010 07:27

lady this is why I love MN! There's always someone who understands. DH is great but I just don't think he gets how bad SPD is. He thinks I'm hormonal and exaggerating the pain I'm sure! I'm so bloody fed up with it. Like you say, child birth has a purpose... This is just pointless, other than keeping me awake all night. :(

DomesticG0ddess · 30/09/2010 07:46

I have reached that point. Am 37 weeks tomorrow. I have been absolutely fine, and then since the weekend it just feels like my body has had enough. Mainly I think because I'm not sleeping very well. Am so uncomfortable in bed. And my whole pelvic/groin area aches - I don't know if this is SPD? Have started wearing the dreaded tracksuit bottoms during the day too. DS was 11 days over and I am hoping for a VBAC, so will wait the full 2 weeks over if necessary - meaning it could be as much as another 5 weeks!!! When I think of that, I am not sure I can cope!

Xavielli · 30/09/2010 08:05

3rd pregnancy here too and I can say that at 35+4 I've had enough for a lifetime!

louisesh · 30/09/2010 09:05

First pregnancy this started for me at about 38 weeks,Soo tired but not sleeping!!!! Bad carpal tunnel syndrome driving me MAD1!!!!

Sick of wearing my "chav" clothes jogging bottoms!!!! Looking longely at my pre-pregnancy jeans in my wardrobe.

Fed up of not knowing when anything is going to happen , fed up having my BP checked twice a week!!!!! WHINGE,WHINGE,WHINGE!!!!

Due date tomorrow and apart from BH and loose stools nothing occuring here!!!!!

greenbeanie · 30/09/2010 10:23

3rd pregnancy for me too, feels like the longest ever, although not helped by surgery and a long hospital stay at 20 weeks which meant I could not work. Now 35+1 and have had enough.

Antidote · 30/09/2010 12:32

This kicked in for me at 38 weeks. I now feel like a whale, can't be arsed to do anything, and am utterly fed up. Only sleeping for short bursts, each side gets too uncomfortable. Too bored to read / cook / clean.

39 weeks today, and still waiting for the sodding washing machine repair man and the new curtains (Monday with any luck) then I am hitting the curry............

CardiCorgi · 30/09/2010 13:03

Now. Right now (34+4).
Ok, I know the baby isn't ready yet, but this is not fun and I don't see how I could be sleeping worse so the idea of sleep deprivation with a newborn doesn't look as bad as it did 8 months ago.

tanmu82 · 30/09/2010 14:46

I'm feeling that way now (3rd pregnancy) at just over 35 weeks. I felt this way with #2 at around the same time too. I'm not in any real pain and can still sleep pretty well, but I am just sooo ready to meet my baby daughter!

NinthWave · 30/09/2010 14:49

When I started having to walk my DS to preschool 5 times a week, at about 34 weeks.

I'm 38 weeks now and I bloody hate doing the 10-minute walk there, 10 minutes back, twice a day. 40 minutes of shuffling along the road with a knackered pelvis and a giant bump!

thebrightside · 30/09/2010 14:57

Right now! 36+3. Surely it's cooked long enough by now?!

DillyDora · 30/09/2010 15:00

37 weeks today - SPD and very swollen feet/ankles/legs and hands so yeah...over it! Still at work!!!!!!!!!! Ladyintheradiator nice to think that contractions are better than SPD Grin I see your point, there is nothing productive about SPD, just a grind (literally, it feels like!)

planner26 · 30/09/2010 15:58

Hmm...32w and hoping she comes bang on 37w! Am sick of the back pain and SPD - it's so painful being sat at work all day in the office! Feeling like a giant shuffling whale moving around!

Now now NOW!! (37 weeks!)

Can't sleep
Braxton hicks every half hour or so
Can't walk properly without waddling
Can't eat a full meal
I'm so tired I could sleep for a month

need I go on?

I will miss my bump though, and all the wriggles Smile

Poppet45 · 30/09/2010 20:14

I would say three weeks before my DS arrived. So I thought 37 weeks, but as it turned out he was probably two weeks overdue and noone noticed so 39 weeks. Ha. By then my bump was so huge that my legs went numb whenever I got into bed, I finally got stretch marks wail, couldn't sit on a sofa or a chair could only lean on a ball, footrest, oh and could only fit into my yoga bottoms or this huge black dress that made me look like an elderly mediterranian peasant. And had to read til 4am so I was tired enough to ignore the discomfort and restless legs from hell.

Oh gosh I want another one though.

CardyMow · 30/09/2010 20:43

4th DC, and can say that what with the BRaxton HIcks I've had today, and the eeeeevil heartburn that's been making me cry every night for the last two weeks...today! And I'm only 24+5! Still a long way to go, and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired already! I'm huuuuge already, have been told baby is at least 1 and a half pounds already.

EdgarAllInPink · 30/09/2010 20:48

when i weed on the stick and it changed colour... Grin

Rocklover · 30/09/2010 21:54

Oh god I feel like that now and I'm only 22+5 with dc2. I feel shit (see my million other moany posts for evidence).

I've had enough.

muslimah28 · 30/09/2010 23:34

35 weeks.

and DS wasn't born until 42+2

Samraves · 01/10/2010 08:33

I got fed up on Tuesday... so now. I spend most of the day in tears feeling as though I couldn't cope. I am only 33 weeks today... but fed up of feeling so ill and tired...

Come on little girl, I'd love to see you a couple of weeks early - 37 / 38 weeks sounds good :)
