Irrational middle of the night fears...

I posted a couple of days ago about cystitis...I am sure I have it. The midwife took a sample on Mon so results should be back today when I see consultant (previous pre-eclampsia). I spent all day Monday glugging cranberry juice and yesterday things were mildly improved, but have been awake now for about an hour and things are definately not right. Still got the whole need to pee, but pretty unproductive thing going on. Also, I am a bit itchy down there which is pretty uncomfortable.

Have managed to convince myself that they will take one look at me and admit me today and make my baby come out! I am only 28+3, so wouldn't be a great scenario. Now, I know this is totally irrational, but was even thinking of packing a secret bag so hubby doesn't see and panic, just in case....what an idiot!! My twins were delivered at 33+6 so am probably being paranoid.

Feeling miserable. I am trying to be positive, and think they will just give me antibiotics and send me on my way, but you know what its like in the middle of the night!

Hello Smile

I know exactly what it's like, as I'm 32+3 and awake worrying at 4am in the morning too!

It's very very likely they will just give you the antibiotics, and I'm sure everything will be fine Smile (I know that won't help you at all, but I tried!)

You're right -- I need to get a grip! Nutella on toast might help - thanks, and stop worrying too!

My due date was yesterday and I have a urine infection. Was just given antibiotics, try not to worry! Your baby is fine! :)
