Private scans - SE London or north Kent?

After a recent miscarriage, I have just found out I am pregnant again. I would like to arrange a viability scan privately, but am not sure where to go.

With my DD, I went to the Fetal Medicne Centre, which was really good but is quite a trek from where we are, especially as we are now likely to have a toddler in tow (working part time makes it harder to slope off during a working day as I'm so busy).

Does anyone know anywhere in SE London or Kent that offers this service? If it's Kent, I'm thinking the northern tip - Dartford type direction. I've tried googling but no joy so far.

Lewisham Hospital offers a private clinic on Saturday mornings. The hospital is v. near Lewisham station or is a £5 cab from Greenwich station if you are coming in on the Dartford line. £100 for a viability scan.

Congrats!

On my goodness, Lewisham is majorly convenient for me. My train line! It's so close that, if I can get in, I might even be able to try for their new birth centre.

Brilliant! Thank you so much!

Just another option - clinic called Apeekaboo imaging in Erith, Kent, bit out of the way on an industrial estate but they are soooo lovely there, have had 2 scans with them, viability scans are £80. Congrats and good luck!

Hi secondtimelucky,
I went to a place in sevenoaks which was fabulous.....lovely consultant with a massive plasma screen so you can see everything. www.theavenueclinic.com/
I also went to Kent Medical Imaging who were also great but not as nice. www.kentmedicalimaging.co.uk/
Good luck - I'd go back to sevenoaks but not sure where you live.

Ooh, thanks everyone. Erith isn't too bad either. We can drive out there easy enough.

Sevenoaks is a bit far out, but worth bearing in mind (particularly if I convince DH of my plan to move further out, buy a bigger house and have a third Wink)

I love Apeekaboo - they are so incredibly friendly and the midwife who does the scans (and owns the business) is very knowledgeable. It's £80 for a viability scan.

I actually go to them first with every pregnancy because I'd rather get bad news from there than from the hospital where it's pot luck if you get a nice sonographer and nurse practitioner.
