33 weeks and the worst cough ever

I am 33 weeks with my second baby and never felt this tired or pissed off at this stage last time (guess I didn't have a toddler to look after!).

I had a cold a few weeks back and although it's largely gone I've been left with what was at first a really chesty cough and now is less chesty but really tickly. It doesn't seem to be getting better.

I went to the docs last week when it was really chesty and he gave me some antibiotics, whch are not really doing anything (probably becasue it is just viral).

It's making me miserable and I wonder if it is somehow common. Anyone else at this stage and coughing like an old giffer?

I am also 33 weeks and have a cough! But I don't think it's our stage, just the usual change of seasons cold/cough/general congestion.

I went to the pharmacy and the only thing they could sell me was glycerin. It's utterly useless. So, I drink honey and lemon and suck on cherry drops which helps a little with the relentless tickling.

I am sorry to say that I think we have to let it runs its course :(

Uggghhh

I'm around 11 weeks and have it too, though mine's pretty chesty, awful when I get up on a morning, I'm hacking away like a fag hag!

At least it's getting me working on the ole pelvic floor!! Wink

Thanks both.

Yeah, I am coughing worse than ever. Poor baby must be jolted about like nobody's business.
