Sorry, I can't offer any insight as I was one of those lucky people who did not suffer MS, but I didn't want your misery to go unnoted.

But it sounds bad. Is it worth going to the GP about, do you think?

pinkgrasshopper · 28/09/2010 09:48

Poor you. Sounds potentially mad, but have you tried fizzy sweets. Not exactly the height of nutrition, but other MN discussions have shown that people manage to keep them down for some reason, and they at least provide some sugar for energy.

Cue the food tsars coming to tell me off...!!

Julezboo · 28/09/2010 09:49

Oh dear. DD is probably enjoying toy story you know that dont you?

I feel for you. I was sick 5 times before 10am yesterday.

Are you on meds? If so, are they helping at all.

My sickness started at 3 weeks, Im 20 weeks now and have tried to come off tablets twice and failed miserably. Was pretty upset yesterday because ive given up and resigned myself to taking them for the rest of my pregnancy.

Try to sip ice cold water.

TotorosOcarina · 28/09/2010 09:51

thankyou both.

Sweets do help, mainly starburst type ones, i havent got any at the moment though.

Am eating a vimto ice lolly now,

hopefully it wont stick around too long.

I know julez, its her faveourite film, but shes only 20 months old and I feel bad shes been watching so much telly but I can't even find the energy to get dressed nevermind go to the park. I took them all conker picking at the weekend and ended up standing in a bush vomitting. Hmm

Am not on meds no, was hoping it would start settling soon, if it doesn't i might have to go back to GP.

Just becareful you dont become dehydrated :) I know how awful it is x

Muser · 28/09/2010 11:39

Please go to the GP. I put it off for so long, finally went when I was about 16 weeks. Felt like I got my life back. If you're throwing up as much as that you shouldn't have to put up with it.

jinglesticks · 28/09/2010 11:50

Poor you. I was sick all through first pregnancy and I'm dreading having a second because of worrying how I'd look after dd whilst vomiting. I drank fruit smoothies. But I think that was mainly because they tasted as good coming up as they did going down.

Its worth seeing GP, because it can be dangerous if you really can't keep anything down. I think the advice is that if you can't even keep liquids down then you definitely need medical attention. They considered putin g me on a drip if it didnn't improve - but luckily it did.

You have my sympathy :)

I feel for you Toto, I am not throwing up, but have constant severe nausea at 22 weeks. I am so miserable right now and I have to drive 8 miles or so tonight to take my 5 yo dd to her swimming lesson.

At the moment I don't feel I can do it, but I know I have to or she will be so disappointed. It's making me very anxious and upset.

You should definitely go to the drs to get some meds, it's very easy to get dehydrated, hope you feel better soon.
