Have been waking up a few mornings feeling sick, and just now had to rush to bathroom. Wasn't actually sick, just retching. Will be 37 weeks on Friday. I assume it's more hormones. I don't expect the baby to be early as DS was almost 2 weeks over. Anyone else feeling sick?

I felt sick towards the end of both my pregnancies. Don't remember for sure with DS but I was definitely sick again at the end with DD. I think it's your body getting to the limit of what it can cope with plus hormones. You'll have 50% more blood by now and baby will be wedged up agaist all of your internal organs - it's no wonder it's a little uncomfortable.

I did also get Pre-eclamsia with both of mine so I got headaches and flashing lights as well as the nausea. If you're feeling very poorly, it might be worth letting a midwife check you over.

domestic I have this intermittently as well, at 37+2 - probably had it about a couple of weeks I think. Once, like you, BP and wee fine in my case, so think like you it must just be everything getting squashed. Funny, cos I don't remember feeling this squashed and sick with DC1 - presumably you didn't either ???

I wondered whether it was because with second babies there is less downward movement and they tend to engage later, and so everything gets more squashed toward the end? I know in my case my baby is still totally free, whereas by this point in last preg DC was almost totally engaged.

Well that doesn't make sense, does it? I meant to say 'once, like you, I found myself retching'.

Don't feel too squashed actually at the top, but do have an aching groin. No nausea today, just bit of a cold instead, grr. Will get BP and wee checked at app on Thurs - am sure it will be fine.

my hyperemesis has come back with avangence in the last 3 weeks (38+3) which my GP said is quite normal, apparently it's the hormones creating havoc again Grin!

Nausea again this morning and some stomach cramps. Was lying in bed thinking "are these cramps intermittent? are they in my back?". Gone now, just dodgy stomach I think!
