Is there a routine to baby's kicks at 18 weeks?

Hi

After reading the thread about the lady who felt no movement (but is all okay now) and looking at the website countthekicks - it says on there to get to know your babies "routine" of kicking?

I never knew they had a routine? I'm 18 plus 4 now, and feel little kicks and movements all the time, this baby is a random mover, no set pattern. Should I be worried?

When I read the website I was worried because the moments were so all over the shop.

With my last DD she had an IUGR (growth restriction due to the placenta) so was delivered at 37 weeks. I'm having regular scans but it made me worried.

I am hormonal and tearful, so I don't think that helps any

Not usually - it's too early. You shouldn't worry about counting kicks and working out your baby's "schedule" until 28 weeks, though you can try to get in the habit of logging movements.
