Antibiotic Question

Hi
I'm 6 weeks pregnant and saw dr today who said i had kidney infection. He prescribed me Nitrofurantoin. Now i know he is a dr blah blah and he wouldnt have prescribed it if it wasnt safe in pregnany BUT can someone please reassure me that antibiotics in pregnancy are ok?!?

Plus, has anyone used this type whilst pregnant?

no experience of that type of antibiotic, but ive been on 3 courses so far and im 34 weeks!

it is fine, so please dont panic.

thanks - i am panicky about EVERYTHING at the moment!! ONly 71/2 months to go!

hi, i had a few courses of antibiotics with my first son.....no major effects....just didnt help my thrush clear up......, nothing to worry yourself over mandymoo.

You can check out the safety of any medicine to take in pregnancy on \link{http://www.netdoctor.co.uk}. I had antibiotics 2x when pregnant and now DD is 5 months old and absolutely fine.
