C-section scars and stretch marks...

For anyone who has had another pregnancy following a c-section, did you find that you got stretch marks around the scar?? I didn't get stretch marks with my first pregnancy (despite having lots all over my thighs and boobs from puberty) but had a crash section and now I am wondering if the tightness around the scar means I will get marks if we have another baby?

Just idly wondering!

No I didn't, I got them higher up, around my navel. I don't think a csection scar would have anything to do with getting stretch marks - but I may be wrong!

Oh, and if your scar feels tight and itchy, rub some body lotion into the scar and massage it in.

emsy I have loads of stretch marks from puberty on my thighs and boobs, so have been resigned to getting them on my stomach, assuming that my skin is just genetically disposed to be not being very stretchy. Good to hear that wasn't the case for you, and as I am 31 weeks and still no sign of them, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I have more than enough of my fair share on the rest of my body!

I also got them on my thighs during puberty, but haven't got a single stretch mark from 3 pregnancies, and I was HUUUUGE in the last one.

I am 36 weeks and haven't got any stretch marks nr c-section scar - I don't think it would make any difference? I have some on my hips from puberty too, but haven't had a single one during either pg (so far!!!).

Interesting! I guess I was just thinking that the skin around the scar is quite tight and so maybe more likely to split into stretch marks. But will be delighted if it doesn't!

I had no stretchmarks from first pregnany (despite puberty ones) had ELCS. My scar was very low and quite small and it never really felt stretched with second child although I only put on 11 lbs so wasn't massive. No stretchmarks second time either.
