I was sat in the car today and some of the babys kicks really took my breath away as they were very sharp pains in the pelvic region especially near where my legs join my body. I am currently suffering from SPD and I am having very frequent braxton hicks. I see my consultant Monday so will ask but just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Nicky, this did happen to me when I was pregnant and probably felt even harder due to my poor wee achy body and the SPD. Sometimes the baby would 'jump' inside me and it scared the crap out of me, it was wild. Of course if you are getting worried then call your midwife unit, but I can say I did exp this and my SPD was very bad too x

I'm getting painful kicks and stretches from baby too. I've also got SPD...maybe our poor pelvis's just can't take it?

Yip, could be that. My ligaments etc are still 'looseish' (but nowhere near as bad as when I was pg) and that's my DS1 just 7 months (not to scare anyone) but that's me just beginning to feel more 'normal' again. Still struggling to walk normally but it's getting there. When I was pg and sneezed I thought my tummy was going to pop with the pain, so I reckon if SPD is the looseness of all the ligaments etc, then this would contribute to the painful kicks, not as much support in the ligaments.
