Hi
I'm posting this for a friend who is in hospital at the moment.... she is 31 weeks pregnant and 2cm dilated....
Has anyone else been in this situation and how long did you hold out before giving birth?? Is it likely that the little one will pop out soon, or could they stay in for a few weeks yet??

The hospital are keeping her in 'long term' just in case things start happening.... poor thing is worried sick!
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks!

If its not her first pregnancy, then 2cm dilated is probably normal.
Only in first babies should the cervix be completely closed
