I am in complete shock! I have just had a growth scan as the MW and consultant were both worried about her being on the small side... I have been really not well and lost a lot of weight at the beginning of my pregnancy.

Soooo... the sonographer just told me that my little one is bigger than average, has a big head and already weighs 4lb 5oz!!! I am only 5ft 2 and very slim and husband isn't a big chap - very average and most of his family are small. I am obviously relieved that my baby is doing well, but am very freaked out about giving birth now!!!

Anyone else a bit freaked out??

i had an elcs because they said dd1 was enormous and i couldn't possibly be allowed to labour naturally as it would be Very Dangerous for both of us. (am also 5'2")

dd1 was 8lb 6oz. i then had two 9lb vbacs.

ignore, ignore, ignore.

One of the main reasons DS was born by section was that he was predicted to be big from growth scans. Coupled with breech presentation I took the advice not to try for a VB. He was 8lb 3oz. I've just had his little sister by VBAC, despite her scans showing her to be precisely the same size. She was 6lb 15oz. Their statures as newborns are totally different, despite having the same measurements on the scan. Don't worry about it!

hey samraves - at least only a few more days at work - things will be easier when you can do things at your pace at home. I managed to get to work for the first time yesterday since I got bfp and started getting bad nausea Grin . only managed an hour, but a start. Here's hoping it's the start of an improvement :)

Hey Angels,

3 weeks and counting! Well done you for going in at all.... I am just going in in the mornings now and having one day's leave each week from now on too...

I don't feel any less in but mostly I am coping better - except if I do too much! I think so long as you don't let yourself get too hot or too tired you will get there...

:)
