Any tips to delay labour?

I am booked in for a c section on my due date. It would usually be done the week before but my consultant is away that week. I really don't want to go into labour early - (this would involve it all being a muddle, having to have the operation done by the duty team, having to explain a difficult history to a stranger, etc).

Is there anything I can do in the few weeks before my due date to minimise my changes of labour? I've read some threads about trying to bring labour on (walking etc). Shall I stay in bed the week before? (I'm not kidding). Obviously no sex. Think the curry thing is a myth but will avoid anyway.

Any tips?

Baby will come when your body decides it is ready. Also, there is no way of knowing whether lying in bed, not eating pineapples, curry or abstaining from sex were the reasons your labour was delayed....
