Wee or amniotic fluid?

About 10 days ago I had sex with my partner doggy style (sorry TMI). I'm 27 weeks. During it, unusually, there was a moment when I think he pressed too hard and it hurt. He pulled out and this was followed by a gush of liquid. I didn't smell it or anything, I just assumed it was wee and he'd pushed something against my bladder (i had thought I should probably go to the loo before but was being lazy...). I cleared it up and that was it.

Then I was reading something today about amniotic fluid leakage and i'm worried. Could it have been that? I haven't leaked anything else. What should I do? Would I know if it had been amniotic? I feel fetal movements all the time. I feel good.

Have you had any leaks since? Amniotic fluid is clear and sweet smelling. Give you midwife a call and see what she says.

I called NHS direct and they were great; said they didn't think that it was a problem as I've had absolutely nothing since but made me call the labour ward at the hospital I am going to and speak to a midwife (as it was out of hours). The midwife said if I'd had nothing since then it was fine. She seemed very unworried

Sorry half my message fell away from the beginning of the message above

I wanted to say that the same thing (or similar) happened to me...and I called the NHS direct etc

I think if you keep getting leakage then it's a problem

But I would call MW if you're worried. That's what they're there for
