Got my blood results today, and they are at 30...I have no idea what that means, but sounds really low to me? is this a sign of mc? if so I would rather know? so I can prepare myself for it again!

Any advice experience would be much appreciated X

Can you phone the doctor and ask?

I'm sure I was reading a thread the other night about someone who was being monitored for signs of miscarriage, and her bloods were 30 at 5 weeks and not rising properly....but she went on to have a healthy baby.

I think you should ring your doc and discuss it, but don't panic yet.
Why were you having the test?

I cant understand why they would give you the result and not explain it. I know they need two readings to see if it doubles ( every 48hrs IIRC).

30 does seem low, but maybe you are not as far along as you thought.

Hope it all goes ok.

HCG levels vary enormously as you can see here. What gives a better idea of how the pregnancy is doing is to check the rate at which the levels are rising. Are they doing a repeat test for you 48 hours after the last one?

Good luck. Hope things work out for you.

I agree with the previous post abd I kow how you feel. I had a scare two weeks ago when I was 4 weeks, have already had a m/c so was ultra paranoid. My GP sent me for blood tests but said the first one is in effect worthless without the second one as they compare them to see whether they have increased.

Have you had a second set done?

I've miscarried before, and Dr has agreed to investigate if it happens again.

I did ask him if he thought I was going to mc and he wouldn't say?? he just said it's low and not looking good, but will re-test on Friday, so booked to see him on Tuesday.

I'm so worried, all my pregnancy symptoms vanished yesterday...I'm 5 weeks today, lost one in May at 6...I think sometimes we know when it's going wrong x

Thanks for your posts x

Sorry to hear that you've been through it all before. Given that, I would have thought your GP would be more sensitive about it all really.

I hope everything turns out ok, keeping everything crossed for you for Tuesday.

xx
