swimwear nightmare

Please help!! I am going on holiday on Sunday and the only swimsuit I have is a horrible one which I use for aquaerobics classes. It's definitely not a 'sit by the pool' option.

I'm almost 22 weeks with a sizeable bump and am at least 34G.

I would have preferred a tankini but am struggling to find one that won't be huge on my bum. I'm only a size 12 on the bottom. I would also get a bikini if it's not considered indecent to wear one.

Please point me in the right direction...

I got my swimsuit from Mamas and Papas but is an all in one and I'm not particularly big on top. Have noticed that Asos do maternity separates (bikini top and bottom) so you could order different sizes?

you may just have to see if they'll deliver in time! good luck!

I'm about to order bikini separates from Asos as one option. I don't know how supportive it will be though.

I tried the Mamas and Papas tankini a few days ago and it was a disaster from the boob point of view unfortunately.

I rang Jojomamanbebe for advice and the girl on the phone suggested getting a bikini with halterneck and tie at the top and the back as I have quite a small back. The difficulty is finding something like that online.

Go to Bravissimo, also online.

I was about to suggest Bravissimo too. If yo have one locally they have a great fitting service too.

I had a look at the Bravissimo website as I've bought bikinis there before with great success. The problem with their tankinis will be that they'll be too short over my belly.

I've just ordered a bikini from Asos so if I have no luck with that I'll probably have to head up to Oxford Street on Saturday and try and find something.

Any chance you could get a normal bikini that fits you and just wear a nice plain matching long vest over it? The fitted kind with stretch? A friend of mine did this and it looked like a tankini, but it gave her extra bust support.

I've just bought a black bikini with white spotty detail from mothercare, and I am really plesed with it, it is halterneck and the bottoms have a fold-over thingy - ever so comfy. I had been wearing my normal bikini but people failed to tell me that the bottoms had gone all see through and my arse crack was on display Blush so I invested in a maternity one Smile

Thanks goodlifemummy! Have just ordered myself the very same tankini. Now, I will wear mine on Tuesdays and Thursday so that we don't have the embarrassment of wearing the same outfit and risk being seen together. Grin
