Hello,

Am currently 33 weeks with ds2 and over the last few days have noticed swelling in hands, legs and face.
It does get worse at night usually, but yesterday and today I have noticed that it's staying with me all day now.

Was mildly pre-eclamptic last pg, but symptoms began much sooner than 33 weeks and the oedema was much worse (legs I could make proper finger holes in - yuk!)

Thought I had been lucky enough to avoid this time around, so hoping it's not it back again! Could it be pre-e again?
I was told there was significantly less chance of it.

Hav ebeen researching it, but all the websites say swelling normal, unless sudden and in hands and face - which mine is. Hmm

Cause for concern?

Hi Threelittleducks, I was in hospital for 2 weeks with pre-e. I had swelling in ankles and face, high blood pressure and protein in urine. Have you checked your BP? I was told that it was unlikely to come back this time round but would be mointored. Get in touch with your MW and ask for a check up. Hope that you're ok. Let me know x

If you're worried get it check out. I know we can become blase about these things but it really is so dangerous.

I was diagnosed at 36+3, induced at 36+5 and emcs that day. Mum & baby both fine but it could've been very serious.

Thanks - phoned hospital and they booked me straight in to see consultant tomorrow due to last time.

Suppose I am really lucky - our hospital is really good for stuff like that. Totally on the ball.
Fingers (squishily) crossed! x
