Reflux/heartburn is slowly killing me

I'm 31w, and have been suffering from heartburn and reflux for weeks, but it's alwaya been manageable with Gaviscon Advance. However the past few nights have been hell.
I've been waking up every 80-90 minutes with my throat on fire. Taking a swig of Gaviscon is enough to help me back to sleep, but the same thing happens again in 80mins.
I've tried drinking milk before bed, I've tried sleeping propped up. Neither helped at all.
I had to phone in sick today and yest cos id had such a crap sleep.
It doesn't help that I seem to have a slight cold which gets worse during the night, so the mucus is probably running down my throat too (sorry, tmi).
Anyone have any tips? Is Zantac allowed in pg?

Thanks, everyone x

hi, I've had it for a while now (35wks) and its horrible so I greatly sympathise. Milk has been the best for me but the MW also told me to avoid eating late and to eat with good posture! also avoid spicy foods. I haven't tried gavison but I did take those green mint flavoured chewables (not rennies) and those were a big help. Mine is easing off now so i hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, Roo. I've managed to get an appt at the doc tomorrow so I'm hoping I'll get something that works. It's really getting me down. I suffer from reflux a lot, hut this is unlike anything I've experienced in my life. Nighttime is like one painful nightmare. I'm even dreading going to bed...
