HI everyone...and was looking a little bit of advise...if you have a D&C on the 3rd of september after being 14 weeks pregnant...are you able to get pregnant again before having a period again?

Yes you are. It's recommended that you wait til you have a period though... One consultant told me to wait 6 months before TTC! Most of the other doctors said this was extreme though and just wait for one period. You are apparently quite fertile after a d & c. That wasn't the case for us.... Took us 11 months to conceive after my d & c.

Yes, I got pg after a d&c without having a period. We were told, as long as there were no complications there was no reason to wait. The advice to us was, if your uterus/body isn't ready for another baby straightaway, then the egg simply won't fertilise.
Also my gp and the nurse at the hosp both said waiting till you've had a period is purely to allow accurate dating of the pregnancy.
Good luck.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I don't really have much advice on how quickly you can get pg after a mc but apparently you are very fertile afterwards. If you are pregnant without having a period then please don't worry about the fact that you didn't wait for one as you are still likely to have a healthy pregnancy.

Claire, I found out 4 weeks to the day after the d&c. Was just like having a (very heavy) period
