Talk about every stage of pregnancy, from early symptoms to preparing for birth.

Probably a really silly question

At work I literally sit behind our office printer/photocopier - there is about 30cm from me to the back of it.

It's not something I thought about but a colleague said to me today "if you're trying to get pregnant or are pregnant you really shouldn't sit so close to the printer/photocopier". My computer backs onto the massive photocopier, it is separated by a divider about 4cm thick.

Is this concern valid? I am not usually so easily freaked but I did find it a little disconcerting. Some preliminary research on "google" is mixed but most info is that it's okay. I am just concerned as I am rather close to it.

BTW I am not pregnant yet but hope to start TTC #2 in the next month.

I don't want to look silly discussing with my manager if it is not a valid concern!

Is this because of ink fumes? Unless there is some excellent empirical research or your colleague can offer a good explanation, I wouldn't bother discussing this. Apparently sitting in front of a computer screen causes the same, but again, no research.
