hi all
bit of advice please
I am 37+2 and for the last few days I have real pressure down below. I'm all out front and baby very low. Sometimes I feel like its pushing so hard that it will fall out!
I dont remember having this with DS1.
Any advice?
x

I had this, and it's rather uncomfortable. Apparently it's pressure from the baby's head, getting in to place, ready for the next stage... In my case it didn't mean it was imminent though.

Well, sounds to me that your bits may be softening up. Second labours are usually quicker, maybe DS1 was a pathfinder for this babe?!
Maybe babe has turned and is pressing on your bladder and cervix?

Have a chat with your midwife - maybe you are 3cm already!!

Good luck Grin I'm excited for you.

thanks both of you! secretly i think ooh maybe its going to happen early but deep down im sure ill still be here in 3 weeks! baby is definitely low, and it does feel like its pushing down sometimes.
quicker pregnancy would be lovely!
will keep you informed!! x

I am 35 weeks today and have had this for about a week my bubs has been breech until 32 weeks so I think he may have turned thus the pressure! dont know about you but its mainly when I stand up I feel it or if I am standing still. This is my 3rd DS so think with me its just everything is a tad more loose lol! :)

I've had it for a few weeks and it just seemed to coincide with when she started to engage. I'm now 39+4 and the pressure is really intense.

Mummyofmax · 21/09/2010 19:54

yes i think ur right. my midwife said id know when she was engaged and she is right. sometimes i can hardly walk! x

I have been feeling more pressure too since before the weekend. Am almost 36 weeks. Last Mon the mw said the baby's head was still very free, so perhaps he has moved down a bit. I am waddling, and my pelvis is painful. However, I too think I will still be here in 6 weeks!!

Good luck!

I'm 20 weeks and have been feeling this!!!!

Had my scan yesterday and he said she is very low down and showed me where her head is, she is also head down and headbutting my bladder. Dreading another 20 weeks of it!
