hi. we're first timers expecting baby in Dec. we have a dog so will be walking everyday on the common, so have only been considering 3 wheeler prams..
2 that seem worth considering are Phil and Ted's and Icandy Apple Jogger. all our firneds with more than 1 child say we shoudl just get the P&T which will then accomodat 2 if and when we have another.. I think we shodul just make the best choice for now. Does anyone have the P&T for one baby? any recommendations? thanks - this buggy thing is a minefield!

My SiL did this. Loves it.

I do for dc3 as i had it for dc1 and 2 (age 5 and 4 now) so I'm using it again as i like it. The only thing i don't like about it is the raincover. It fits in the boot of a hatchback, can be pushed one handed and goes well over rough ground.

I've got the P&T Sport and we like it. My DH had the same idea- get it so we can convert it to a double when no.2 comes along- I was thinking the same, just get what suits us now- and didn't want to 'assume' we'd have 2 kids close together. As it happens I'm now pregnant with DC2 and my oldest will be 2 when baby is born, so will use the double attachment after all!

Only thing about it is it is a bit heavy and not easy to put in and out of the car (esp now I'm pg) but have a lighter buggy I use for town.

but was great for DS1 and great when they're tiny and can go in the coccoon as you can lift it out and take them indoors with you if they're asleep after a walk, or swing it to get them to sleep.

On MN the current top 3 wheeler is a
The Baby Jogger City Mini. Why not check it out just to double check it against the P&T??

Hi, I had a Quinny Speedi SX (3 wheeler in a gorgeous mauve colour) & I loved it for ds1.Would definately give the Quinny a look, I prefered the speedi not the more popular buzz as it seemed sturdier but as I,m expecting another have upgraded to P & T Vibe. At the mo using it as a single and I think it's great, a bit heavier than the quinny but probably more versatile as it doesnt need a carrycot just a cocoon. only downside is you can't add the car seat, so I guess it depends if that is important to you.

Hi cso,
Having exactly the same dilemna. What's putting me off the Phil and Teds is that it is heavy (steel frame is strong enough to support 2 children so heavier) and that your children would have to be the right ages apart to use it (bit of pressure there!). But it is still on our shortlist so am reading this thread with interest.

we bought P&T for DD for the same reasons as you and we have loved it and used it nearly everyday and not regretted it for 1 minute. It's been great as a single and I would happily buy it again.
It's tough, goes really well across the fields, never tips up and isn't massively heavy.

thanks all - some very helpful comments. One thing I think I like is the cocoon which is really light and small.. but looks a bit flimsy compared to the 'pram' attachments for most other 'from birth' pushchairs.. no idea what is required!
