Magically shrinking bump!?!!?!?

Hi ladies am 21+2 today and over the last couple of days my bump seems to have changed shape and shrunk a bit. I still have a bump but I kinda just look a bit fat rather than pg like I did last week . Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? I do think bean has shifted a little cos her movements have been higher up in my bump and feel slighter lighter than they did last week when she was very low down in my tummy(according to my 20 wk scan). So could this be the cause of the changes to my bump?

My bump did this for about 8 weeks around the same time as you - I didn't get a proper, permanent bump until about 25 weeks. Some days I would look properly pregnant, others I'd be back to "a bit fat" - I thought maybe it was dependant on what i'd eaten or the baby's positioning.

The midwife didn't really give any explanation for this but as she could still hear heartbeat at appointments and all other checks/scans were fine - she said not to worry.

Am now the proud owner of a VERY large bump and still have three weeks to go - that'll serve me right for wishing I had a big bump in the early days!

As with all these things, if you're worried, chat to your midwife.

I've noticed that my shape changes depending on where baby is. My bump has been quite large but for a few days almost flat (im 18wks).

I was really worried but mw said it was normal when baby changes position.

I was still worrying (as usual!) so got my doppler out to check the heartbeat...found him/her REALLY REALLY low down which explains the tummy flatness!!

Im 21 weeks and have had an obvious bump for about 5 weeks. however the bump has been expanding widthways the last couple of weeks. It started off really high but narrow and has been growing widthways rather than up. very odd!
