Hello all,

I am a first time expecting mum with DC1 due on 10 December and occassionally I have a tight pulling sensation in my stomach I am not sure if these are Braxton Hicks or muscles stretching and pulling.

I am sure there are others who have had these pains but if you could please help me clarify the difference it would help as Im unsure of what is happening Confused. Thanks ! :)

Hi
You are not alone, i get this too feels like everything is pulling and being stretched. Its nothing to worry about although a bit uncomfortable. I got these in my last pregnancy too. Would say its your muscles stretching.

Hi,
I get these too, it is just your muscles stretching with your bump growing and the added strain, mine can sometimes be quite sharp and make me catch my breath but its normal, Braxton Hicks feel like a tightening sensation and you would probably feel your bump go hard but you are probably a little early for them yet although I apologise if I'm wrong on that

I got braxton hicks from 17 weeks, so you can get them early.

It sounds like Braxton Hicks to me. Round ligament pain tends to be a very sharp pain, usually in your side and usually when moving awkwardly or sneezing, something like that.
