Two new things to worry about?

Sorry - my usual trick of two questions in one thread! 39 weeks today and obviously bored as I have done all my "jobs" around the flat...

  1. I have been leaking colostrum for a few weeks. However, I leak MUCH more out of my left boob (small leak every day) and only rarely out of my right. On occasion, I have squeezed the right to check whether some colostrum comes out - sometimes some does, but often nothing comes out... Is this something to worry about, or will all be sorted post birth when the baby starts sucking do you think? I really do want to be able to breastfeed....
  1. Baby has been head down for a number of weeks now but, despite being 3/5s engaged (2/5s still palpable) now, it switches from lying on the left to lying on the right, and vice versa, at least once a day. I can tell as I can feel the body parts, inc the bum and spine, and the kicks swap sides after it turns. This isn't unstable lie is it? Baby is staying head down, I think... Its just that, when I last saw the midwife, she said that because of the engagement, the baby wouldn't change position now... but it is changing side to side so so much! Should I worry?

Thanks - sorry for the 2 for 1 trick!

I think that when she said the baby wouldn't change position now she meant it wouldn't go breach not that it wouldn't shift about. I am 37+2 and 3/5 engaged with DD2 and she moves about just as you describe.
I haven't had any leakage this time but with DD1 I had it for ages and def more from one boob than the other so pretty normal I guess.

I think there's nearly always one boob that's more productive than the other, it was always my left, but after baby was born and the breastfeeding was established both produced plenty of milk, it's nothing to worry about and I don't think the amount of colostrum you leak has any impact on your ability to breastfeed!
