Clonazepam

Hi all, out of sleepless desperation I took 1mg of clonazepam (my OH is on it) last night and slept like a log. It was bliss.

I'd had a quick look on the net to see if there were any big DANGER signs for this in later pregnancy (30 weeks) and couldn't see anything, but I am still feeling a little guilty.

Has anyone ever spoken with a doctor about this drug, or have any experience of it during pregnancy.

After such a beautiful night's sleep it's going to be hard to ignore the little bottle of pills next to the bed now!

Hi islandbaby!

I used to be on clonazepam, as I suffer from a neurological disorder, but was advised to come off it before trying to get pregnant. I was told that I should avoid taking it unless it was absolutely necessary.

I know how wonderful the drug is for knocking you out, but I would suggest speaking to your GP.

I work in mental health and would suggest caution, apart from anything else this drug is addictive

Thanks, both. Hopefully I'll be able to keep my mitts off it. If I find myself reaching for it again, I'll insist OH hides the packet.

Slept fine last night without any help, just a few pee breaks, so hopefully it was just a one-off tearing my hair out in frustration moment.

No worries! Good luck!
