Ow do!

New member here... Max, 28 in Surrey I work as a Consultant on Space Shuttles and Launch Security, all of which seems easy compared to this baby lark!

We are expecting our first baby this year. My wife Jay (JaysFirst I think) joined up a while ago and logs on here, so I thought I'd swap my chat-board site from Lotus Cars and Honda Bikes to this one for a while and catch up on the 411.

We've had our 2nd scan, and we think it's a girl. (I actually have no idea from looking at the image, I certainly didnt see any twig and giggleberries!). All is well and with a due date of New Year's Eve its all getting a bit real!

Time to build a nursury and say goodbye to my study. I did suggest that perhaps the treehouse was a healthly place for the baby to sleep, get to grips with nature early on... but this was met with me sitting in said tree house as punishment for suggesting it.

Any way... have posted our scan pictures up on our www site www.peanutmonkey.co.uk (Theres some scrolling text on the index page, click on that!)

Updates to follow, hope to speak with you all soon... esp about the best nappies to buy... OneLife or A.N.Other brand of towelling?

Welcome!

Having spent 3 Christmases heavily pg, with due dates of 22/12 (arrived 30/12), 2/1 (arrived 10/1) and 26/1 (arrived 8/2) can I suggest you get your Christmas shopping done very early?!

Congratulations and good luck. Enjoy MN - I wish I'd known about it when I'd had my babies, it's brilliant.

Yeah, I thought about Christmas presents already...
It it (she) arrives pre-Christmas Day, babies first Christmas will be remembered in the family album with presents such as

  • New Car Smell Air Freshener.
  • Anti-Septic Wipes.
  • Waiting Room Magazines.
  • Can of Antifreeze.
  • Ten Tiger Tokens (non redemable at Mothercare)

I am hoping for a post Christmas birth... Iam hoping to wangle paternity leave for 2 weeks after new year. Handy!

Ah well, back to work......

Hi Lotusmax

Jaysfirst chats over with us on the 'due in Jan 2006 thread' (under antenatal) and you are welcome to join in any time. I'm due on Jan 4th but am usually late so expect to be mid-Jan too.
