Gorgeous, pampering products for pregnancy?

I'm shopping for a pregnant friend Smile. It's been a while since I was pregnant - what are lovely treats these days? I remember there was a Clarins oil (?) that everyone raved about and I am thinking about Dr Hauschka as a luxury natural brand although not specifically for pregnancy.

Any favourite brands/specific product recommendations? Thanks!

I'm afraid I have no ideas for you, but I'm interested to see what other recommend as I'm 22 weeks & have a birthday coming up...!

larger Boots do a gorgeous mum to be gift box filled with mini products. I recieved it three times over and loved all the items. Believe you can also buy the same, and the full sized prodicts, from the Sanctuary website.

I recently had my baby and didnt collect a single strech mark along the way; so the products seemed to do the trick!

Neals Yard do a very nice mum to be kit. I've got it for a few people in the past.

Vie at Home (was Virgin Vie) do a really nice oil for bath/massage supposedly good for relaxing and to prevent stretch marks It's called Beautiful Bump bath and massage oil.
It's not very expensive either so you could probably get a few other yummy mummy treats x

Thank you, all good recommendations - I think I had some Sanctuary too. I'll take a look!

I love love love the original smelling Sanctuary range, especially the candle and bath soak, all that would be missing is a chilled glass of white!

This is a very sweet thing for you to do, I hope your friend appreciates it :)

HI,
What a lovely thought for your friend.
I bought some Mama Mio products last year for a family member who was pregnant. Pretty expensive, but they absolutely loved the products. I got the pack from selfridges, but think you can buy online too. link below
www.mamamio.com/uk/pregnancy-skincare.html
Now I'm 31w pg myself and would love some as a gift.

Beaurevage · 20/09/2010 15:37

I received a Mama Mio pack (shower gel, oil & cream) and love the products. Felt very special getting them as it never occured to me that I would get to pamper myself to luxuriously Smile

HeadingHome · 20/09/2010 15:45

I am still waiting for someone to buy me some Mama Mio products...

tablefor3 · 20/09/2010 16:08

Third-ing Mama Mio. Expensive, but delicious and I have no stretchmarks from DC1 using their Butter Rub. Fingers crossed for DC2!

Obviously YMMV.....

JustDoMyLippyThenWeWillGo · 20/09/2010 16:12

Mamma mio all the way. Had giant baby at great age, no stretch marks and they are really lovely products, which cheered me up when pregnant

boognish · 20/09/2010 21:23

I've got the Mama Mio pregnancy oil and butter - if forced to choose between the two, the oil is really the best buy. It's really rich and melts in like a dream. I don't know what I'll do when these run out - which they will soon, because I can't stop using them.

Make sure that whatever you buy is specially for pregnancy. Some stuff seems gentle and smells lovely but contains essential oils that are thought to be risky for a foetus (eg. Aromatherapy Associates rose range). I can't think of any Dr Hauschka body stuff that would be ok for pregnancy except the lemon oil perhaps, off the top of my head.

Wow, more suggestions - thanks! I am shopping this evening, so will look out for Mama Mio too.

boognish - I think it's the Blackthorn range that's safe for pregnancy, but I want to buy in person and I am not going anywhere near an outlet so that's out now. Smile
