Congrats Tiger - that's great news Smile

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 27/10/2010 16:41

great news Tiger!

Magicsis finally has her boy after all the messing about - he is the cutest thing! CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK!!!

Gi1da · 27/10/2010 19:44

Great news Tiger and woooohoooooo for MagicSis and MagicNephew!! doubly glad to hear of your good results too Magic Smile Smile Smile

Digi thinking of you xx

clareanna · 27/10/2010 20:18

Fab news tiger and magic! Sounds like magicsis has had a hard time induction and emcs? But he is a total cutey- hope you're getting lots of cuddle privileges?!

digi saw your post on the other thread- thinking of you and wishing the week away on your behalf x

happy I remember getting more low bump pain if I wax particularly tired, stressed or had overdone it a bit. Hope your mw can reassure you- it could just be your bodies way of telling you to slow down a bit now. Hope you've got your feet up tonight

I am fine although have been sartorially challenged today thanks to mothercare maternity leggings. They are one size and that size appears to be Amazonian with a bump the size of an elephant baby. Seriously, I'm 5ft 8 and statuesque but can tuck these damn leggings into my bra! Was walking back from the lantern carrying my lunch so no hands free and the blasted things bolted - by the time I got back to my desk they were round my knees Blush I had to sport superman pants style for rest of the day Grin

Congratulations Sarahlou! Good to hear some good news, lovely name too! Hope you all settle well and enjoy those first few days and weeks.

Congratulations to all good scans too!

Wow, I can't believe how far up I've moved on the "postgrads" list... Things have really been happening here!

Louise always in my thoughts.

HappyGirl1 · 28/10/2010 13:57

Clareanna your totally right - If I could I would just sit down all day at my desk, it's quite painful now both sides of my bump really low down to just even walk! Sooo looking forward to finishing up in work.

how is everyone today?

Gi1da · 28/10/2010 18:43

Ahhh 3 weeks left in work. Had the first instance today of starting something then realising that I wouldn't be around to complete it. Having trouble getting that to sink in, have been there 16 years come Christmas, can't imagine not being there! Also having to fight annoyance that no-one else does things properly (aka the way I do it) so god knows what mess I would come back to.

Can I add to the moan about maternity clothes - I have two pairs of mat jeans, different brands - neither stay up Angry. I feel like one of the kids with my trousers hanging off my arse!

Feeling well, loving my bump, can't get up stairs without getting puffed out though and am starting to wield the Look Of Violent Death to seated commuters as I stand on the train EVERY DAMN DAY. 8 months diffed and have been offered a seat just 3 times. All other journeys standing in the bloody aisle. Bastards.

Digi thinking of you, you too Louise x Hope it's been ok being back at home.

Hellooooos all around Smile

clareanna · 28/10/2010 20:27

sooo have just seen the news that Mariah Carey is expecting a baby after suffering a miscarriage a few years ago.... come on, which one of you is she?!

[hgrin]

randomimposter · 28/10/2010 20:33

clareanna all I have to say on that matter is ....
Hmm
There?s a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don?t have to be afraid
Of what you are
There?s an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you?ll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

It?s a long road
When you face the world alone
No one reaches out a hand
For you to hold
You can find love
If you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt
Will disappear

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you?ll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

Oh oooh
Lord knows
Dreams are hard to follow
But don?t let anyone
Tear them away, hey yeah
Hold on
There will be tomorrow
In time
You?ll find the way

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you?ll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

That a hero lies in you
Mhhh
That a hero lies in
You

Am cross with TT - can't get through at all [hangry] tried solidly for 1.5hours this morning, and again for the past hour. Clearly, I am not doing any work today!

MariahJolls your knowledge of song lyrics is truly impressive. But if you are truly Mariah you will be able to tell me what your "people" demanded on your rider when my team had to organise a PA for you last year....

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 29/10/2010 14:02

Well done on the list Clare and to all of you who managed to get TT tickets [hsmile] and boo to all of you poor lovelies still trying! I didn't even bother trying as I think I am going to encounter some serious babysitting issues next year! Clare still pmsl about your leggings!

Upduffy how does it feel being the kin of the castle???? Bravo Jolls!! [hgrin]

Yay only 3 weeks left at work Gi1da! I have given provisional notice to my parents - 8 weeks to go!!!!! Have you got over the bump jeans or stretchy pocket jeans??? Over the bump seem better but my pocket ones I spend most of the day hoiking up.

All good in the world of Magic, feeling the twins kick now although still quite light and feathery [hgrin]. I have quite a bump already so am kind of with you girls 3/4s of the way up the list even though I am only knocking on the 20 week door, puffed out walking up stairs and feel like I am starting to waddle a little he he! 8 weeks and I will be full term size [hshock]...........< Magic leaves to slather on more bio oil>

ps Thanks for your well wishes for Magicsis off to see LittleMagicNephew shortly for cuddles and head sniffing!!!

SamanthaB123 · 29/10/2010 14:42

Great work on the list Grin! I meant to say that it is a grave mistake not to update on Friday or Saturday as lots of people's week need chsnging on these days. It made my pregnant head hurt to work it out Blush.

All very well here but feeling quite sleep deprived. Ruby feeds every 2/3 hours which is good but the broken sleep takes it's toll especially in half-term. Some trouble with my boobs but Ruby is thriving, it's just me who suffers, she's gorgeous!

I've lost the ability to name check, sorry, I know it's lousy but I'm one-handed and time is short. All the news keeps me going in middle of the night when feeding though!

Hope all well, SB x

morning all, hope I haven't messed up the list... On iPhone..

Jolls I'll never hear that song the same way again (in a kind of good way), though I'm sorry so many of us are having to find quite such strength and discover their inner heroes. At risk of missing some I shouldn't I'm thinking just now of Louise, Banana and Battery. Digi, sounds like you're in limbo? Big hugs. And Jolls and Cheepz for having to find that strength too many times.

I'm feeling a little old surrounded by all you whippersnapper TT fans! Blush... hope you all get tickets though.

Magic, as big as term at 28 weeks Shock! Can't begin to imagine how twins full term feels!! Glad they're both active and well though.

Gilda it does feel odd finishing work doesn't it. Last time I got back after 6 months to tales of all the cover being lousy, thankfully someone good finally in the last month so mess mostly dealt with... This time I'm relieved that I know my cover, someone stepping up to my role and contractor elsewhere, so feeling a lot more confident (though taking a year off, so could end up back somewhere completely different...). 5 weeks to go for me, my big project for the year at work nearly complete, time to focus on my bigger project, and he's kicking a lot reminding me of his presence. Need time to rest and shop too before Xmas...

Centerparcs was less stressful than anticipated. Two friends along kept teenagers busy, hardly saw them, safe in the knowledge they probably couldn't come to much harm. And DS was delighted by pretty much everything, particularly the big boy bike we rented for him (up till now he's been on a run bike). He got the hang of it really fast, but hard work for me and DH running to keep up with him. V funny though seeing his tiny little legs pedalling away rapidly. A few big wipe outs but otherwise all good and he had a fixed huge grin. . Can now strongly recommend starting out on run bikes and skipping the stabilisers stage. DS got the hang of it all as if by magic. Very easy way to learn to ride a bike.

Right, DS calling me, time to play. Big waves to all and best of luck for Monday's scan Unbuffy

hairytriangle · 30/10/2010 11:18

Hello all just popped in to catch up with you all - still not quite brave enough to hang out here properly, but am waiting for midwife booking in thingy, and then 10-14 week scan before I feel fully confident.

wave to all of you!

HappyGirl1 · 30/10/2010 18:57

Hairy hope youa re feeling well and looking forward to you joining us all properly Smile

how is everyone else?

how are you doing unbuffy? you are top of the list Smile

xx

toomuchteaching · 30/10/2010 20:12

Hello everyone,

I'm back... Prague was really lovely. We stayed in a gorgeous hotel and it's really walkable, so you can see everything you want to without schlepping around.

Really glad to come back to some good news on here. Woop for tiger and big huge yay for Sarahlou, lovely.

Am v v jealous of those soon to finish work, I still in theory have 7 weeks left [hhmm] and am not totally looking forward to school starting on Monday, as everything is a bit of an effort now, I seem to huff and puff an awful lot!

Good luck for Monday unbuffy, how are you feeling about being top!? I can't believe I've made the top 10, so weird! Magic [hshock] at your size news... wow. Glad centerparcs was fun Alba and hope you can settle in with your feet up soon hairy.

Can't scroll back through the pages for anymore namechecks, forgive me... X factor calling [hblush].

TMT xx

Muser · 30/10/2010 20:49

Hello all. I've been away for a few days. Lovely to hear the scan went well Tiger.

sparklyrainbow · 30/10/2010 22:05

Not been here for a while...have been very negative/fed up recently and didn't want to bring everyone down. SPD and general knackered-ness has pretty much ruined my half term break and I haven't been able to do much at all. Had to rely to DH to drive me around (luckily he'd booked the week off ages ago) and do loads for me. Feeling a bit better now after lots of rest and taking it easy, but I'm not good at that and want to be doing stuff :(

I've got three weeks left at work: I think I'm going to try going in on Monday and if it doesn't work I'm going to have to just get signed off until I start mat leave I suppose. Toomuch, I feel your pain because I really don't want to go back/in at all but know I'll feel guilty if I don't, even if I do get signed off!

Yay for Tiger, Loopy and Magic and SarahLou and anyone else who I've missed! Ooh, yay for Magicsis too!

Waves to all, hope you're having good weekends. About to head off to bed with a hot choc and biscuits- how many extra calories are we allowed in the third trimester? Hmm

PS apologies for 'me' post

Wobblewatcher · 31/10/2010 09:02

Wondered if I could join this thread after lurking for a bit on here and reading a few old pg after mc threads and thinking it may well be the place for me...

I'm 5+5, have had a mmc, then DD, then an early miscarriage/chem pg last month.

Currently swinging quickly between feeling very positive, and then very very down. My worries are really irrational I think although looking on here and other similar threads, maybe not.

Not had any bleeding, symptoms present but they come and go. Having a private scan on the 8th. I also post on the June thread as due June 27th but feel like this thread maybe more suited to my circs.

Thanks for reading Smile

Wobblewatcher · 31/10/2010 09:09

Oops can't work out if this is where I'm meant to be, please tell me someone, feeling very very tired!!

Blush

Hi wobble this sounds like just the place for you. The Due in threads can be a bit tough with their relentless optimism and innocence! We all know exactly how you feel and can hold your hands through the coming (hopefully very quiet) next 9 months.
