The show??

I am 39 + 5 weeks pregnant and I am not sure if I have had 'the show' or not. I have had a sticky brownish discharge a bit like snot (lovely I know!) since yesterday although there was no blood in it as I thought there would be .I also woke this morning with diarrhoea and have been to the loo twice since again. Is this a sign that labour is imminent as I have not had any contractions yet.......or am I just being hopeful? At my last midwife appointment 6 days ago the midwife said the baby's head was fully engaged.
Any advice would be appreciated x

Sounds like it could be the start to me! If I was you I would be on my gym ball bouncing or going for a walk to get things moving, but a lot of people prefer to conserve their energy for labour. How do you feel?

Sounds like itSmile but be patient as it could still be a few days yet. The show can be a week before labour sometimes.

Oh yes, advice: do it now - whatever you hadn't got round to, get it done, you may never remember afterwards.

Thanks I actually feel quite energetic today for some reason so might go for a walk or something to see if it helps. Fingers crossed Peanut is trying to make his/her way into the world :D x

Sounds like it will be soon - good luck :)

That is exactly how my last labour started. I started contractions the day after the brownish discharge.

God I am jealous, sitting here at 40+5!!

Good luck

Ooh I'm jealous too, but I'm only 38 weeks so I'll let you go first Smile

Sounds like the start of something....Good luck!!!
