I spent the first 3 months if this year in hospital with major placenta praevia. Thankfully all ended ok and baby girl was born at 35 weeks. I would love more children (have ds and dd) but everyone thinks I am mad and dh is to terrified to consider it!! I was just wondering if anyone has gone on to have normal pregnancy after major pp or would you not even consider it? Thanks

I had placenta previa with my son and am now 22 wks with fraternal twins and both placentas are nice and high. My sonographer said it was just bad luck the first time and there's no sign this time. I don't think that cos you've had it once you necessarily have it again.

Thanks - I am just a but worried as I had a low lying placenta in 1st pregnancy but it moved at 32 weeks then last pregnancy was a disaster!! My gp said it can be to do with the shape of your uterus and the midwives told me I would be mad to go again. Although my consultant didn't say any of that! My dh is terrified he said it was all very dramatic in the end and he doesn't want go through that again! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
