I keep thinking maybe waxing would be good but I can't voluntarily put myself through that pain, especially when there's so much pain to come anyway. The midwives can just deal with my hairy bits! (I'm 39+1)

ThatDamnDog · 18/09/2010 22:16

I'm due a week tomorrow. Due to some health problems my poor midwives have had to put up with my vile white puffy hairy pins for the last fortnight. Bath and trim tomorrow though!

Cher87 · 19/09/2010 13:51

Im due in 3 days time! I gave the lady garden a trim a few weeks ago after my DP was taking the p**s! it was a challenge but think it could do with another attack before wednesday!

MadameCheese · 19/09/2010 16:55

Thank goodness it's not just me. I even asked my DH ages ago to help, I think I'll actually not get him to do it after all as it's pretty horrific. I never seem to be able to find time for a bath these days.

I've done it all once and now I'm 10 days past my due date I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and tackle it all over again :(

ThatDamnDog · 19/09/2010 18:47

DO IT NOW! I've just scarred a doctor for life - wasn't expecting to be admitted and examined today but sod's law came into play. Ten minutes more warning and I could have at least made use of a hair bobble or two - it's a jungle! Blush

ooosabeauta · 19/09/2010 20:27

Ooh thanks for reminding me before I go to bed! I've been meaning to do this for days, and am due on Thursday. It's a bit terrifying down there! I'm off to do it now Grin

MadameCheese · 20/09/2010 14:48

ThatDamnDog hope you're ok, you did make me smile though, sorry :). Really hope all goes well for everyone ooosa I'm due thursday too! KN hope you don't have to wait too much longer.

Do you really need to tidy your lady garden? Am due tomorrow and think the MW will just have to take me as I am!

LouM10 · 20/09/2010 17:28

Does a mw 'check' you on you edd? I was planning on just shaving down there when I started feeling twinges as it is a major operation involving me lying on the bathroom floor with a mirror between my legs. 6 days left till my edd :)

ooosabeauta · 20/09/2010 20:22

Will think of you on Thursday then MadameCheese Smile Good luck!

Made a major boo-boo last night when I went to have a tidy-up... I couldn't see what I was doing, and ended up nicking myself in the delicate region Shock Ouch! Am hoping this won't turn into a big tear, and kind of hoping I get a couple of days of healing before anything happens...

I had blood in my sample at the midwife appt. today and she said it might be the start of a show, and I had to admit what I'd done. I asked if it was expected, Bumper, and she said no, they don't bat an eyelid.

MadameCheese · 21/09/2010 19:15

ooosa I did that with DS when I was about 32 weeks. There was quite a bit of blood and I remember crying down the stairs to DH that I was having a bleed. He had a quick look and said "you've got a cut", I'd completely forgotten for some reason, what a dunder-head Blush!

Due on Sunday - but DC1, so who the hell knows... Had pedicure and toes painted hot pink at the end of last week. Got hair cut and roots done. And went for a low bikini wax this afternoon - not so much for vanity's sake, rather if I end up having an emergency section (not that this is in the birth plan!) I'd far rather have pre-empted things so that no one comes at me with a shaver giving me razor burn and the joy of infected ingrowing hairs..... [shudder emoticon]

MadameCheese · 23/09/2010 23:41

carda you're going to be looking pretty plush for all the midwives Wink, good luck :)
