Dilemma about painting rooms

My DH and I are moving house on Monday and I will be 35+4. We were supposed to move several weeks ago, but our buyers delayed. Anyway, we had planned to paint one or two of the rooms, including the sitting room, but now I don't know whether this is wise or not.

Technically, we have another 5 weeks till the baby will be born, but I have had a couple of brief spells in hospital due to a bleed issue and I have been given steroid injections to give the baby's lungs a boost just in case she arrives earlier.

The only freshly painted room that the baby might be in would be the sitting room, but I don't know how safe/unsafe it is for a baby to be in a recently painted room, even having used low VOC paints. We and the baby will sleep in a spare room until the main bedroom is fixed up, so we can just shut the door on that and open the windows.

I have looked up the internet but can't find any definitive answer. Some say it is fine if you use low VOC, others seem to advise against it altogether.

I suppose the upshot is should we, or shouldn't we paint the sitting room? If not, how old would baby need to be before we considered it?

This has been a bit long winded. Sorry.
Cheers!

Check these out

No anyhthing in them. We've been decorating (dh and decorator!) and there's no smell to them/ dangerous chemicals.

Not cheap, but we felt worth it this near to the baby being born.

hth ps I'm 36+2
