small cots

We have a very small room for the baby. Although I've been given a moses basket, I'd like to also have a cot. The standard size baby cot means that a lot of the room will be taken up.

Interested to know if anyone's bought a smaller sized cot? Preferably in white!

Thanks

Ikea

When we had DC 2 we wanted a cot in our bedroom for first 6 months and they outgrow a moses quickly but space was limited. Spent a lot of time looking to see if I could get a crib that was 1/2 way between size of a moses and a cot but really nothing any good out there. So I also bought the cheapest simple cot in ikea - it was the one with the smallest measurements all round but still actually a cot matress. Cheap too :)

We had a small cot for DS, think it was from Mamas and Papas, not teeny but definitely smaller than a regular cot.

Mothercare do a crib for £40 that's cheaper than one in kiddicare - will definitely be a good size inbetween a basket & a cot/cotbed. We've got one for dc4 (arriving christmas) as the last moses basket we had for dc3 was not very sturdy, but the cot was way too big to use until he was about one. Hth x
