I was thinking I would in a few weeks time, so about 32 weeks.

I did all my shopping and packing very early, so had bag packed at around about 30 weeks, maybe a bit later, and most shopping done then. Everyone said I was doing things too early, but now I am 37+1 the thought of schlepping round the shops/having to wash all of the baby clothes I bought/packing bags etc seems like way to much hard work for someone as huge and uncomfortable as me so I am really glad I got it all done earlier on and can just relax now. Apart from still going to work.......!

PickleSarnie · 17/09/2010 16:26

I'm 39+4 and had a mad midnight panic to finish packing mine last night when I thought it was all going to kick off.

It was a false alarm but I now have a lovely packed bag.

You're much more organised than me!!

bubbakin · 17/09/2010 16:27

I think I packed my at 36wk with DS but had everything ready from about 32 just not in a bag! I'm 34wk & haven't done mine yet but again I've got it all sort of ready just too lazy to put it in a bag!

nymphadora · 17/09/2010 16:33

35 weeks & bought some stuff for it today after a false alarm 3 days ago Blushnot got everything yet though

comtessa · 17/09/2010 16:41

Am 30 weeks, and will be packing bag as soon as have moved house (in two weeks) as have been wanting to pack it for weeks but not really bought anything yet as didn't want to bring anything more into our cramped flat.

girtlush · 17/09/2010 16:41

36 weeks with DD1. Just after my waters had broken with DS2 Grin

Did have everything I needed in the house just not in a bag or in the same place!

ethelina · 17/09/2010 16:42

39+ Blush

Lia1977 · 17/09/2010 17:06

Im 38 weeks and Im nearly there. I still need to pack some nappies, a towel and a few other things. My mum keeps bullying me to do it. That's why I havent done yet:)

Raahh · 17/09/2010 17:12

Lia- I'm 38 (years old, that is), and still resist doing things because my mother nags about them!

Am due to go in for a section in a week and a half (or sooner if i can!), my bags have been packed about 4 weeks, so since week 33.
Have also got bags packed for the dc's who are going to stay over at granny's. Not usually this organised at all, but hate the idea of my mother rummaging through my house to find pj's/pants/school uniform for the kids!

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 17/09/2010 17:27

packed mine after first massive contraction! had bought everything at about 37 weeks, just not org into one bag.
honestly didn't make much difference, by the time i finally heaved ds out, dh could have rollerskated to london, gone round harrods, bicycled back to scotland and still been in time to deliver a new nightie and some nappies! Grin

About 34 weeks I think I started and have just been adding things to it as I've thought of them - finished completely about 2 weeks ago though. 39+4 now.

sillysow · 17/09/2010 19:47

39+4 Blush whilst having contractions.

In my defence we had had builders and carpet fitters in until 2 days before - and I just hadnt got round to it. This time I will be doing it around 36 at a guess?

WhatSheSaid · 17/09/2010 19:58

1st time at about 36 wks

2nd time at 39 wks, the day before I was going in for an elective c/s

Panzee · 17/09/2010 19:59

34, but my friend made me promise to as she went into labour at 34 weeks.

Tyson86 · 17/09/2010 20:01

londonmackem · 17/09/2010 20:01

37 weeks at 2am after my waters had broken. Everything I had bought had just been washed and was wet. luckily i had just been given 3 baby grows and a blanket at my baby shower. Was a nightmare!

ArseHolio · 17/09/2010 20:02

Fist time I didn't pack one but wished I has at 30 weeks when my water broke.

Last time 20 weeks, I needed it at 22.
