Gripe water?

Sitting here discussing future baby with my mum (my first, currently 22 wks) - and she mentioned gripe water - and we weren't sure if people still use it?

Yes, bloody marvellous stuff even though it doesn't have alcohol in it any longer which is what made it really effective. We used it with DS until he was about 5 months old.

But if you drink a nice glass of red while you're BFing of an evening then it does the job - that was on the advice of a consultant obstetrician

My DD suffered terribly from hiccups - they started in utero. Gripe water was the only thing that worked to stop them and she loved it.
