HI all, I am just wondering if anyone actually had their 1st baby after due date and their 2nd before due date because I know most people do usually go the same but I am in agony I am that big this time people think i'm due already, my skin is sooooo sore I can barely move at times. I have an 18 month old I am running around after so that doesnt help as rest is not something I can do whenever I need to. I am measuring well above the line and I had a growth scan at 25 wks as I was so big. Has anyone else been really big and had baby early? Please say yes I don't want a premature labour but anything from 3 wks early (what is considered full term pregnancy) would be great. Any ideas to stop the soreness? xxx

Sorry, not what you want to hear, but I had same as you - so big I had to go for the growth scan, they were scared I had too much water in there, scared the baby was huge - and I went 11 days over.

Thanks for reply, I am trying not to moan but it is agony :(. Was your baby big in the end? My first was 8lb12 so expecting a biggish baby anyway.

She was 9lbs3, so she was big, but not huge. Big for me though, as I'm really small at 5ft2 and previous to the pregnancy had quite a small frame. Obviously that's out the window now anyway :p

And god, I remember how much agony it was. Me and DP went for walks every night to try and get the ball rolling, and I could make it down the street and back to the house again which took about 15 mins for such a tiny street(!) and then collapsed into my rocking chair the second I got back in the house and couldn't move for like an hour.

But yeah. People said I looked like octomum, and wouldn't have been surprised if I was having multiple babies.

Well I remain in hope that he will come early as possible within the safe period obv. At least u know what im talking about i'm sure people must think i'm a moaner lol. People keep saying how many days left? and in shops 'don't be having that in here, i need to be home for 6' and when I say I have 9 weeks left they look pained. I also have a small frame and i still haven't put weight anywhere but the bump which people say i am lucky for but i disagree-id rather have bloated everywhere than this. Thanks for your reply btw, it's nice to speak to someone who actually understands it is painful.x

No problem :) It really is bad, and putting all the weight on your front should be a good thing, but I agree that it's mostly a curse and not a blessing. Because all of the weight is one place. Massive belly, tiny legs which can't handle the weight, narrow back which is hunched over like the humpback of notre dam. Plus the stretch marks were SO extreme, horrible and purple - so bad that my doctor even laughed at them when he saw them 8 weeks after she was born. "Nice stretchmarks! Grin" "Confused Err.. thanks... :(" It was SO sore on my tummy too. Still is in some places, where the stretch marks were just so deep, felt like little burns.

I was like you, I wanted her to come any time after 37 weeks. I got admitted to hospital at 37 weeks for pre-eclampsia, and was just willing them to induce me, but to no avail :( they decide my blood pressure was JUST low enough for them to send me away with constant monitoring. I went home and cried!

I hate to say this, but I was like you in my last pregnancy, absolutely huge, growth scan at 33 weeks due to large baby, had gone 10 days over with 2 previous pregnancies but couldn't possibly imagine going over due as I was so big. However was induced at 12 days over and my son was a whopping 10lbs 13.5ozs! I had been telling m/w etc for weeks I was in agony, doing school runs often left me in tears. I'm now pregnant with number 4 (total surprise) and had an appt with consultant last week who told me that even if this baby looks to be a similar size they won't do anything unless it turms out I have GD. I could have cried! Can't imagine going through that again! I'll have my fingers crossed for you that you don't go over, you have my sympathy xx

I am larger now at 22+6 in this pregnancy (number 4) than I was at 40+2 with my last dc, who came out at 8lb2. Baby was over the top line on the growth chart at my 20 wk scan. I have had a very large baby before, my first. I was induced at 34+4 due to pre-eclampsia, DD was born 24 hrs later, and she was 6lb12 at 5 weeks early! I'm very concerned as I'm now struggling to breathe when I'm laying down. MW has told me that if I'm still measuring big at my 28 week antenatal, she will send me for a growth scan, as at my 16 wk check, my uterus was already much larger/higher up than it should be. I only just managed to get DS2 out, with the aid of ventouse, so really don't think anything bigger will be coming out of that exit! I was a size 12 before I fell pregnant....I'm highly doubt I will ever be a size 12 again, My stretchmarks are starting to 'rip' (slight bleeding at the top of them if I stretch), my bellybutton has already popped and I'm already TOO BIG!!
