I'm thinking of going to the Baby Show in Oct in London. As this is my first baby, I've not been before and wondering if anyone else has and what they thought?

Was it helpful?

I found it really useful to test out pushchairs and travel systems, nothing like trying it first hand - but I'd recommend you do some research on what you might be interested in before you go else it might be a bit overwhelming. We had a short list and tested them all out.

If you know what you want before you go you can get some good show discounts as well.

Oh yeah and don't get conned into spending £300 on a re-usable nappy kit!

I think you can get free tickets from Mothercare so worth a look...

Go early before it gets busy and turns into a big hormonal bun fight!

I second rimsky's advice of figuring out what you're interested in first (we had a spreadsheet!) so you don't get overwhelmed by everything on offer and decide that you really HAVE to have something really random that you could live without.

I want to go, but will be 39 wks by then so no way am I travelling that far from home - I'm expecting baby to come early (other two did) so may have already had her......

My sister went to the London one earlier in the year and got lots of free sample stuff, and bought a number of items (steriliser, bottles etc) She enjoyed the day

Thanks Ladies, definitely going to check out the Mother care option of free tickets.

Spreadsheet is a great idea, but where do I start?

Have you got any regional ones going on near you? They can be good as well.
