Have had severe pregnancy sickness since around week 6 of the pregnancy.

It is starting to ease in that I have periods of the day where I just feel queasy rather than severely sick and am starting to get out and about, although not fit for work yet

However, suddenly today I have just been absolutely exhausted..DS went to nursery and I just slept and slept after he left with Dh

Bit worried about this as I was pleased the sickness seemed to be lifting and really do not need the tiredness - DS starts school tomorrow!

This could be that you are nearly 12 weeks, have a dc going through a momentous time. That's all!

I went out for an anniversary meal at this stage with DH and fell asleep face first into my meal. Not a good look Grin

Total exhaustion hit me around 10 weeks, and is just beginning to lift at 17 weeks. Like you I could just sleep and sleep. My MIL said she had a similar thing in her pregnancies and was told that pregnancy fatigue cannot be resolved by sleeping although resting is all you can do (if that makes sense!?). So you basically sleep and sleep but are still knackered.

I'm pg with DC1- I have soooo much admiration for anyone coping with this kind of fatigue and another DC!

I really hope it gets better for you quickly and today has been a one off.

It hit me at about 10 weeks (I thought I'd got away with it this time!)
Now 20 weeks, with 3dc, I can do more, but if I do too much, tiredness hits me like a sledgehammer for 2 or 3 days.

It may be that now the sickness is easing (hope it stays that way!) your body is catching up with its-self. Sleep when you can, your body knows what it's doing.

I would say you're suffereing from early pregnancy. It hit me more this time having a toddler to run around after, and I did spend about 10 weeks ( from 10 to 20 weeks) feeling like I'd been drugged.

If you're worried ask your mid wife for a iron check, as amemia will exasserbate any tiredness and it's better to get that sorted as soon as it threatens to appear.

I checked my inner eye lids but not sure if they are that pale..midwife appt is on Thurs but not until 4pm

I feel like I've been drugged - wasn't like this when 12 weeks with DS Hmm

I have an underactive thryoid which makes me even more tired than I normally would be in pregnancy, it could be just early pregnancy but by 12 weeks its normally lifting a bit, you could ask for a blood test but they may want to see if you have any other symptoms first.

I was far more tired during my first trimester than I am at 37 weeks!
