Moving house - will I have to change hospitals?

Hi, I'm 15 weeks and currently booked in at Queen Charlotte's Hospital in West London and live very close by. I'm moving to South West London in 2 weeks and will be out of their catchment area.

I'm really happy with Queen Charlotte so far. Have been twice for initial midwife appointment and 12 week scan, and have another midwife appointment later this week. Will ask the midwife about their policy on moving but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience of moving house but not changing hospitals?

No, you won't, you are entitled to choose any hospital you like.
If you are "encouraged" to change, just say No, I am staying. No one can stop you.

Ditto above, but if you develop any problems (eg bleeding), it may be in your own best interest to tranfer to somewhere nearer to your new home as valuable time could be wasted making the journey back to QCH
