mears, sorry to start a new thread on this but my message is so far down now, wasn't sure if you would get it. I will just summarise and would SO much appreciate your advice.
The sac is low lying, it measured 8mm and there was no sign of a fetal pole. I was 5 weeks 6 days yesterday when they scanned. I know you will say, well periods and dates and all that, but my LMP was 21/06/03 and I got LH surge day 11, my cycles are about 25 days. I got a positive result on day 22 of cycle with an early test kit. A faint one yes, but obviously positive. The Doc said he would expect a fetal pole at 6 weeks ( I had trans vaginal scan) but nothing just a lovely sac in the wrong place. I have conlcuded this is it. I just now have to face another D and C and less chance of a successful pgcy too. Thanks though for listening, I appreciate you;re busy and would love to respond to everyone but I would so love your opinion.
All the bst Qxxxx

She may be on a night shift but I am sure she will reply.... take care of yourself !

Sorry not to have replied earlier Quackers but I was working a 12 hour shift today and then I got interrupted earlier by phone calls. I saw your scan result on the other post. I know this result is really disappointing but as you saw I had mentioned that this was a possible result with an early scan. It is not necessarily the case that this is it. I honestly have seen a number of women come back a week later and there is a fetal pole. I presume that you have been asked to come back for rescan in a week. I know that will seem like a lifetime but it really is the best thing to do. If this pregnancy definately does not develop and you have a D&C, it does not necessarily mean that your chances of a successful pregnancy are reduced. Do you feel pregnant in any other ways? Do you have breast tenderness or nausea. I remember with my miscarriage those symptoms all disappeared before I had my D&C. Has the bleeding stopped? I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Sorry I cannot give you any firm advice - it will be a waiting game this week, mears.

Meant to say Quackers that our calculations are not always what nature decides to do. You can have sex one night but actually not conceive till a few days later depending on when the egg and sperm acually reach each other. The bleeding you hade earlier may or may not have been implantation bleeding. There are so many variables that we cannot account for all of them. Your calculations may not therefore be as accurate as you think. My fingers are crossed.

Quackers, I noticed on the other thread you mentioned your HCG levels...I just thought I would post this for you.

I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.

I am SO SO gratful Mears for your advice and can't believe you did this after your long shift - thankyou. I don't feel partuculalry pg. Have big boob, nipples have those stone things, but they were the last to sisappear last time. No sickness, gone off t and coffee and feeltired but that's it. To be honest symptoms have lessened so on that I think I know to expect the worst and anything else is a bonus. Had no bleeding since at all, but still these mild cramps on the right. Yes they have arranged another for Friday so will know for sure then but as I say the Doc was not hopeful.
Pie thankyou, had a look now, levels seem quite low but tie in as the Doc says with a pg less than 6 weeks.
BK again, thankyou.
I can never quite beleive the support you get on Mumsnet - its totally unique.

Sorry Mears, just forgot I'll post on other thread from now on, I've already 'taken over' here!!
My HCG was 3500 which they said was about right for just under 6 weeks, but not to read too much into it.
