a little advice please.

Hi, my friend found out she was pregnant about 2 week's ago, and when she did a test she got 3+ on the digital.

She had a tiny bit of brown spotting last weekend, so was advised to go to A+E which she did.
They told her her hormone levels were to low for a scan around 50!

She had a slight bit of pain one night so she went up hospital and and they kept her in and they said she was MC as her levels had gone down to 40.

They also did a scan but could not see anything.

Today she got a phone call saying her levels have now gone up to 105?? and to wait till Tuesday for another scan.

Has anyone got any ideas as i dont have a clue, and there is no one giving her any awnswers.

have they checked for an ectopic?

It sounds unlikely to be a viable pregnancy unfortunately as the hormone should double every couple of days. has she had any more pains?

no pains what so ever, they did tekkl her she has a cyst on one of her ovaries, but she has nit had any bleeding apart from the tiny spot she had last week.

they did a scan but didnt say anything about ectopic.

if the digital test was showing 3+ that would make her about 5 weeks when she tested and 7 weeks now. Really the hormones should be higher. My advice would be for her to get another scan and blood test on Tuesday. By 7 weeks they should be able to see a heartbeat so if there is nothing there then I would think she would either be offered and ERCP or medical management.

So sorry to hear this, it really sucks.

i thought that to, as the digital said 3+ im 18 weeks myself and never got a 3+ till about 5 or 6 weeks.

Really sucks they have been trying for so long!! just weird hormones have gone up again.

i have heard that digi tests are notoriously bad for an incorrect + weeks pregnant, so i would be inclined to go by lmp.maybe that would be why the scan not showing much, its just too early?? hope it all goes well for her. xx

her periods are usually like clock work, but last month she just had 1 day bleed then she missed 1 so did a test.

I thought maybe the 1 day bleed was implantation of some kind, and thats why test was showing further.

Thankfully they are scanning again tuesday just so long to wait when you are in that situation it seams a life time to her.
