Hi Ladyopheliaster, Is this your 1st. I didnt have any proper movements until 24 weeks with my first and didnt have much at all as dd was breech. I think if you are really worried I would ring your out of hours doctor in the morning and they might (fingers crossed) make you an appointment to have check up. xxxx

Try not to worry - I was about 22 weeks when I first started to feel movements and I have twice as many arms and legs to kick as I'm having twins :-)

Have you had your 20 week scan? My scan report showed the placenta position as anterior, which makes it harder to feel movements as the baby is kicking into the spongy placenta at the front. In fact there was a lady at my twins antenatal who hadn't felt her babies at 33 weeks because of an anterior placenta.

Hope you start to feel things soon Smile

I didn't feel the first movements until I was about 22 weeks, even then they are very easy to miss, at first the only way I can explain it is that it feels as though something is lightly 'flicking' your insides ... very easy to miss. I wouldn't worry too much at this stage, however, why don't you ring your doctor on Monday morning? They can put your mind at ease. Good luck xx

I'm at 19 +6 and also not really feeling anything yet -also my first. Sometimes I think I do, but it could be indigestion. Also getting the odd sharp pain when I move suddenly or cough, but from what I've read that's more likely to be round ligament pain than baby.

Anyway I was worried and we did call our midwife, but she said it was still a bit early esp. if it's your first. Either way don't think it's anything to worry about.

Fingers crossed we start to feel them soon!
