Pains in my nether regions, is this a good sign?

I am 32 plus 6 and have been getting pains down below for about a week, esp. when I walk. It feels like baby is kicking me down there.

With dd I never had this pain before but I had to emcs due to failure to progress, so I am hoping this is a good sign as it means baby is moving further down that dd did

Could this be true?

If its a sharp stabbing pain at the front of your pelvis in the area of your pubic bone, and its worse when you walk, its more likely to be SPD i think. I had that type of pain from about 32 weeks as well and the consensus seemed to be that it was mild SPD. Hopefully you will be like me and it won' get much worse as you get further along.

I remember shock like feelings in my cervix when I was pregnant with DS, I think the term people often use is "knitting needle up the fanjo pain" if that isn't too crass for you.

I gather it is to do with the area streching out and down in preparation, which is a good thing and I remember it as early as you are..

That said, if like ILDD says it's at the front on the pubic bone, my bet would also be on SPD (which I also experienced, lucky me).
