soft / loose top ankle socks

I've seen these around for men, does anyone know if it's possible to buy them in women's sizes?

Normal elasticated socks are really uncomfortable on my ankles and I've resorted to cutting the top of them with scissors....

Have you tried those trainer socks? Either that or like I do fold the top of a normal ankle sock down until it doesn't cut into my big fat swollen ankles anymore!!?
