I am 14 weeks pregnant and have just been diagnosed with a prolapse of the uterus - quite severe - and just wondered if anyone had any advice/similar experience of this condition? I have been told I will need an operation after the birth but not a lot of advice about during the pregnancy. Help!

I thought I would revive this thread as I am 27 weeks pregnant and have a severe vaginal prolapse. Not seen gynaecologist yet, but have been referred. Sensible, this was all a long time ago for you but I'd be very interested to know how your pregnancy went and your post-natal experience. It's a shame no one posted back to you message at the time. I hope you didn't feel too disheartened!

Hello Quimble and Sensible,
I'd really like it if either (or both) of you could let me know what happened to you and your pregnancies. I really hope all went ok. It's a shame that no-one responded to either threads!

I'm interested to know what happened as we're thinking of having a second baby (first was born 2006). I already had a mild uterine prolapse before my daughter was born, and everything went fine, but the effects of the pregnancy and lifting etc. has made it a lot worse, and I don't know whether I should actually be thinking about having another baby or not.

If you still look at these threads I'd love to hear from you, or from anyone else in a similar situation.

Thanks.
