Current Caesarean Rate in UK?

Hi

Does anyone know what the current C-section rate is in UK? I've tried googling but can only find rate for 2008... just wondered if anyone knew? need to write something for someone in Syria - where rate is approx 60%.

I read somewhere it's about 1 in 4, I know the 2 big hospitals near me are both in the low 20%'s but I don't have anything more exact, sorry

I think it is between 20 and 25%. They want to get it down much lower, although I don't see how targets are relevant when there is an emergency where a woman needs a c section.
