I am 20 wks tomorrow and was beginning to feel less nauseous, but today I just feel dreadful. I have been lying on the sofa all day and hardly moving off it, feel majorly sick and worse after I eat, getting tummy ache too.

Not sure whether this is just my pregnancy nausea getting worse again, or a weird virus. Feeling very miserable and sorry for myself and dreading the school run in 35 minutes :(.

Sending Big Hugs your way!!!
If you don't improve soon or are feeling worse, maybe call your Doctor and ask for some advice over the phone??

oh no :( Have you been doing much recently? Mine gets a million times worse when I do much, and seems to have a cumulative effect if I do things over a few days I then get super bad after. It also gets worse with stress if I know I have to do somthing and am worried about how I'll cope. Or if I eat something my tummy doesn't like.

Could just be a random bad day. I've read that pg women often get odd bad days for no reason, just the dreaded hormones I guess.

Hope it gets better soon.x

Thanks for your replies. Just back from the school run where I very nearly had a panic attack because I feel so awful. Just feel like I want to throw up constantly.

I haven't even done the washing up and the flat is a mess. I hope it is just a random bad day, I did do quite alot on Tues and Wed which involved driving and staying out for a good 2-3 hours at a time. I do find I have bad days after I have had an active day, but today I feel much worse than usual. Like I felt at 7/8 weeks. :(

:( that's so annoying. If it helps last week I did 2 trips out in 2 days - one shopping and one to mw and it exhausted me. The next day I felt really bad and spent most of the day in bed, but the day after that it was a bit better again. It's just so frustrating not being able to do hardly anything. Have a restful day and don't worry about the washing up/cleaning

Rocklover · 10/09/2010 17:11

Thanks Angels, it's so bloody frustrating isn't it? This pregnancy malarky is never straightforward, I am so excited now that I know that we're having a boy, but I just haven't been able to enjoy it since we found out because I've felt rubbish.

Ah well, surely it can only get better. How did your mw appt go?

it went well. Heard the heartbeat :) Can't remember if I said but I've been signed off work as I feel so rough - for 2 weeks but doc seemed to fully expect another 2 weeks on top. I just want to feel able to do stuff and cope! Have got a headache now too, so more paracetamol. Surely the baby bit once it comes can't be as bad as all this?!

Rocklover · 10/09/2010 20:00

No it won't be, I was a bit poorly for the 2 weeks after the birth (but then I'd had a c-section), but after that I felt great and loved being a mum.

I just had chips for tea which seems to have perked me up a bit, but now I'm panicking about weight gain.

seriously, one plate of chips is no worry. I've had 3 months of nothing but eating and have gained over a stone and really depressed about it but feel so out of control. I'm just trying now I can eat a few more things to have not too bad things most of the time (porridge seems to be food of the moment!) and try not to beat myself up when all I can manage is junk - it's better to eat it than not eat it and feel terrible. I felt really depressed last night as I felt really really bad again after managing to do a few bits over the past 2 days and actually feeling not too bad. It seems I can only feel humnan when I do nothing, otherwise it's baack to horrible again. sigh.

Oh no angels, I feel your pain. I am not feeling great this morning, every time I eat I seem to feel bloated and sicky at the moment. But if I don't eat, I feel ravenous and sick, can't bloody win; plus I have permanent heartburn/reflux. Sent dp out to get an industrial sized bottle of Gaviscon the other day.

I have to go shopping today, but not feeling like it at the mo, not sure how to entertain dd today. Bloody pregnancy lol!

oh - my GP has given me a family sized bottle of gaviscon on repeat prescription so I'll get through 7 big bottles (if that's possible!) before I see her again for more. She seemed quite desperate to prescribe it actually to me! It'll save so much money than buying it in store - so try your GP to see if you can get kitted out with some for free Grin . eurgh - heartburn makes you feel so sick doesn't it? I didn't understand the horrors before getting it!

Rocklover · 12/09/2010 12:00

Yeah, I keep meaning to get Gaviscon on prescription, I needed loads last night, the pasta bake I had last night nearly killed me.

Woke up this morning feeling dreadful yet again, I am absolutely fed up to the back teeth of feeling sick and having a dodgy stomach. This little boy of mine has alot to answer for, he better be well behaved when he comes out! :)

Hope you are feeling ok today Angels.
